Anderw AcklesWhat do you actually do at Buchanan Group?
That's a great question, and one my co-workers often ask themselves. I have many responsibilities at Buchanan Group and as such require several different titles, which I will list in no particular order: Business Development Manager (i.e. business development), Global Research Unit (i.e. filing research reports in appropriate folders), Canadian Food and Beverage Director (i.e. purchasing water and pretzels for office) and I also dabble in T-shirt design for special corporate occasions.

What about outside of Buchanan Group?
As this info is for work purposes I should probably give the standard interest responses such as, travel, dinner with friends, long walks, rescuing starving animals and reading to the elderly. And going against my better judgement I am going to stick with these responses.

You play Australian Rules Football in Canada. How much better is it than Hockey?
Is "less better" a proper statement? Aussie rules is a great game, but nothing beats hockey.

You've been to Australia. What weirded you out about the country?
The fact that I could not understand what most aussies were saying, despite speaking the same language. For example: Having tea last night and I saw that dodgy ad for that removalist company again during the Logies. Translation: Having "Dinner (tea)" last night and I saw that "Crappy (dodgy)" ad for that "Moving (removalist)" company again during the "Oscar's (Logies)".

Now for the important questions…best song of all time?
This is a tough question and one I have given a lot of thought. I judge a song by the reaction or response I have when hearing it. The best song of all time would have to be one that could illicit a massive "rocking out" response regardless of location or situation. That song for me would have to be Bon Jovi - Wanted Dead or Alive. I could be in the middle of a job interview and if my ear caught wind of that song from a distant radio, security would soon be dragging me out through reception all the while singing, "I'm a cowboy, on the steel horse I ride…"

Worst song of all time?
The theme song from the movie Grease. I would rather eat a bag of thumbtacks than listen to that song.

Describe BG Team Canada.
Some would say that BG Team Canada or BGTC is an "all-star" or "dream team" of sorts. A team overflowing with all the talent, intelligence and charisma to lead this organization to the promise land. Others would say we are just like the Australian team except we play hockey, listen to the Tragically Hip and love maple syrup.

Why does BG's new Vox Plug work so well in Canada?
It's unique, yet simplistic approach to reaching the sceptical youth market. Instead of trying to write dialogue that will relate to this younger consumer group, Vox Plug takes the guesswork out of the equation and goes straight to the source. Vox Plug gives everyday teens and tweens a chance to talk to their peers about a product in their own words and more importantly, a chance to appear in a national TV commercial. Overall, you have a commercial that delivers product information in authentic teen speak providing greater relevance and credibility, while creating buzz among the youth community as they wait to see themselves or friends on TV.
